The airFiber AF-5XHD from Ubiquiti is a high-performance carrier radio purpose-built for long-range Point-to-Point (PtP) backhaul and demanding WISP deployments. Powered by LTU (Long-Term Ubiquiti) technology, the AF-5XHD breaks free from traditional Wi-Fi chipset limitations, delivering exceptional spectral efficiency, ultra-low latency, and rock-solid reliability—even in congested RF environments.
Operating across a wide 4.8–6.2 GHz frequency range with full DFS support, the airFiber 5XHD enables operators to customize new backhaul links or upgrade existing ones without replacing antennas. Its Hybrid Division Duplexing (HDD) and high-order modulation (up to 4096-QAM) achieve 1+ Gbps throughput and clean, predictable performance over links up to 100 km (62 miles).
Designed for real-world carrier use, the AF-5XHD features IP67 weatherproofing, GPS synchronization, and clean power output for superior co-location and network scaling.
