The Ubiquiti ETH-SP-G2 Ethernet Surge Protector is a plug-and-play ESD and surge suppression device designed to protect outdoor PoE-powered network equipment from damaging electrostatic discharge (ESD), lightning-induced surges, and transient voltage spikes. It safely diverts high-energy surges to ground before they reach your sensitive networking hardware.
Engineered for Gigabit Ethernet networks, the ETH-SP-G2 provides an additional layer of protection beyond the built-in ESD protection found in Ubiquiti airMAX® devices, making it ideal for outdoor wireless links, CCTV installations, and rooftop network deployments.

The ETH-SP-G2 absorbs and redirects high-energy electrostatic discharge and surge currents away from connected devices, safely discharging them into the grounding system. This prevents permanent damage caused by lightning-induced surges and electrical noise.

While Ubiquiti airMAX® devices already include built-in ESD protection, the ETH-SP-G2 provides enhanced protection at the Ethernet line level, significantly improving reliability in harsh outdoor environments.
